The UK Department for Health advises that all women who are actively trying for a baby should ensure they have a healthy diet and lifestyle while also taking a daily supplement containing 400 µg of Folic Acid.
It is important to build up stores of Folic Acid whilst trying to conceive so you have enough during pregnancy. Low Folic Acid levels in pregnancy are a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus.
Boots Conception contains the recommended level of Folic Acid as advised by the UK Department of Health. It also contains Zinc which contributes to healthy fertility and reproduction.
