What is this medicine for

A natural effective laxative for the short-term relief of occasional constipation. Laxatives do not affect the number of calories absorbed from food. This means they do not help with weight loss.

Does not help with weight loss. Overuse can be harmful.

How to use
Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

Check the foil is not broken before use. If it is, do not take that tablet.

Adults, the elderly and children 12 years and over: One to two tablets to be taken at bedtime with a drink of water, unless otherwise advised by your doctor.

Reduce the amount you take once your bowels become regular.

Swallow the tablets with a drink of water.

Do not give to children under 12 years.

Do not take more than the amount recommended above.

Do not take this medicine for more than 7 days.

If laxatives are needed every day, if there is no bowel movement after 3 days or if symptoms persist, in particular if you have persistent abdominal pain or are passing blood, talk to your doctor.

Before you take this medicine

Do not take if you:


are allergic to any of the ingredients
have undiagnosed stomach complaints such as stomach pain, nausea and vomiting as well as constipation
have bowel or other stomach problems
have kidney or heart problems
are dehydrated

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: This medicine is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor for advice.

If you need more advice ask your pharmacist.

Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children

Storage

Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original package.

Use by the date on the end flap of the carton.

This is a medicine;

If laxatives are required daily or if you have persistent abdominal pain or change of bowel habits consult your doctor. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition are taking any other medication or complementary therapy or if symptoms persist
Seek advice before using if you are planning to become pregnant,  breastfeeding or suffer from allergies

Alexandrian Senna fruit

Ingredients
Active ingredient: Each tablet contains Alexandrian Senna fruit (Cassia senna L. (C. acutifolia Delile) fruit) corresponding to 7.5 mg hydroxyanthracene glycosides, calculated as sennoside B.

Also contains: maize starch, tricalcium phosphate, magnesium stearate.
