This urine self-testing kit should be used as part of the Boots Cystitis Test and Treat Service. The results of the test should be discussed with a specially trained Boots pharmacist in one of our participating stores. They can advise on whether you might have a urinary tract infection (UTI) and, if appropriate, can offer treatment with a prescription only medicine. Test yourself with Dip UTI

Dip UTI allows you to test for a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) using your smartphone. Start by finding a well-lit space where you feel comfortable to take the urine test, and open the Dip UTI app which will guide you through it.

Following the test, return to a pharmacy with your smartphone where the pharmacist will determine whether a UTI is likely based on your test results and symptoms, provide advice and if appropriate medication.


Who is Dip UTI for? Women aged 16-64 who have an iOS or Android powered smartphone who are not pregnant. For full eligibility criteria go to www.diputi.com/boots/eligibility or speak to the pharmacy team.


Before you get started:

Make sure to download the 'Dip UTI' app for iOS or Android and follow the in-app instructions.
 

UTI symptoms may include passing urine more often than usual, burning pain when passing urine, feeling the need to pass urine immediately, needing to pass urine at night, pain in your lower tummy, any of the above symptoms as well as blood in your urine.
 

The test kit isn’t suitable for everyone and you should see your doctor if you’re pregnant or you have diabetes, kidney problems or vaginal discharge. You should also see your doctor if you’ve had symptoms for more than 7 days or you’re having frequent (recurrent) episodes of cystitis.

Important info
The Dip UTI kit contains a cup and a lid, a single wrapped UTI reagent strip, an absorbent pad, a Colour-Board and a user manual.
